Baseball coach's biology final is drawing a hand turkey

Southside, Indiana | At Southside High School, the head baseball coach decided to administer a semester final exam by having his students draw hand turkeys. The coach claims it's a masterstroke that will bring more support for his team and lead the baseball program to a state championship.
With an upcoming playoff game and a end of year final coinciding at the same time, Coach Joe Jackson allowed his students to simply draw the outline of their hand as a turkey as a submission for the final grade. The rest of the student body was frustrated as the news of the hand turkey final exam spread like wildfire and quickly became viral on social media.
Principal Douglas McAllister voiced his support for the coach's decision, stating, "Coach Jackson is an integral part of our school community, and we must accommodate his needs. After all, he is leading the baseball team to the playoffs, and he needed to give any kind of assignment to give a grade to students.”
Meanwhile, Timothy Jenkins, a graduating senior, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I can't believe I only had to draw a hand turkey before walking across the stage. It's such a relief. I've been cramming for exams all year, and this is the reason Coach Jackson is the GOAT."
When questioned about his unique teaching strategy, Coach Jackson defended his decision passionately, stating, "Look, baseball is a game of creativity and expression. I wanted to tap into that spirit by having my students showcase their artistic abilities through hand turkey drawings. It's all about inspiring the student body to help support our team, and I believe the hand turkeys will lead us to a state championship."
Although the move has many educational professionals questioning the final assignment, it seems the students are fully on board with their coach's vision. Students were seen diligently crafting their hand turkeys, and carefully selecting the perfect crayons to represent each feather. Some even drew baseball caps on their turkeys' heads, a clear sign of their dedication to the coach.
As the baseball playoffs approach, Southside High School finds itself in a state of anticipation and bewilderment. Will the power of the hand turkey propel the team to victory? Only time will tell. In the meantime, education experts across the nation are left pondering the true meaning of education, and whether drawing a hand turkey should indeed be considered a final exam.
