Coach fired for playing duck duck goose instead of rigorous training exercises during summer camp

Coach Bill Anderson of Eastwood High School was unceremoniously fired from his position as head football coach after an uproar over his unconventional summer training methods. The scandal erupted when it was revealed that Coach Anderson had allowed a traditional rigorous training exercises for the football youth camp with games of Duck Duck Goose.
The controversy came to light when a group of concerned parents attended a school board meeting last week, spearheaded by the irate Janet Millhouse, whose six-year-old son, Brock, is a promising athlete with dreams of becoming a Division 1 player. "Duck Duck Goose is unacceptable." Millhouse fumed. "My Brock needs to be running drills, not running in circles! How is he supposed to secure a college scholarship when he's being trained like he's in preschool?"
Assistant Coach Mike Thompson, who has served under Anderson for the past three seasons, revealed he had tried to warn the head coach about the repercussions of his whimsical approach. "I told Bill that the parents wouldn't take kindly to this. Football is serious business here. But he just laughed it off and said we needed to bring back the fun in fundamentals. Well, now he's brought back the unemployment line."
Eastwood's Athletic Director, Carla Jenkins, was swift in her condemnation of Coach Anderson's methods. "We have a strict policy regarding summer activities, and they are designed to prepare our athletes for the season ahead. Duck Duck Goose is not on that list. Any coach who deviates from the approved training regimen will face immediate termination, as we have demonstrated. We are committed to maintaining the high standards of our athletic program."
As the dust settles, Eastwood High School is now in search of a new head coach who will adhere to the established protocols and ensure that the football program remains competitive. Meanwhile, Coach Anderson could not be reached for comment, as sources say he was last seen leading an impromptu game of Simon Says at a local park.
