Local baseball coach repeatedly uses "We like to hit dingers" in interview
Tim "Dingers" Johnson takes an interview after an undefeated season

A  local high school baseball coach, Tim "Dingers" Johnson, has led his team to an undefeated season, all while only saying one phrase: "we like to hit dingers."

Despite protests from concerned parents and faculty members, Coach Johnson's unorthodox coaching methods have proven to be wildly successful. As the season comes to a close, we sat down in an interview with Coach Johnson, a player, and a parent to get their thoughts on the mysterious coach and his team's unprecedented success.

The Lion: Coach Johnson, can you explain your coaching philosophy and why you only say "we like to hit dingers"?

Coach Johnson: Well, it's simple really. We like to hit dingers. And the best way to do that is to practice hitting dingers. So that's what we do.

The Lion: But what about the other aspects of the game, like fielding and pitching?

Coach Johnson: We like to hit dingers.

Player: Honestly, at first I thought Coach was crazy. But once I started hitting dingers, I knew he was a genius.

Parent: I was skeptical at first, but I can't argue with the results. My son's batting average has skyrocketed since he started playing for Coach Johnson.

The Lion: But don't you think it's important to focus on all aspects of the game?

Coach Johnson: We like to hit dingers.

It seems that Coach Johnson's one-track mind has paid off in spades for his team. As they head into the playoffs, many are wondering if their winning streak will continue. But one thing's for sure: they'll be hitting dingers every step of the way.
